Gift card holder 2

Yesterday we made a gift card holder for a lady. Today we are making one for the guys. We would not forget them, would we? So here it is.

 Paper: plaid, washed jeans, black and white cardstock (Paper Studio)
Tools: Template, circle and parallel punches, precision scissors, 3D glue dots, colored pencil, glue, paper creaser, ruler and crafts knife.
Extras: computer and printer

Gift card holder

 Finding the right gift for that special person isn't always easy, so we buy a gift card for their favorite store, restaurant, etc. But who said gift cards have to be placed in those boring envelopes or little boxes we find in stores? We can make the gift card experience more exciting by making a customized holder. Here is one for the ladies. 

 In this picture you can see how deep the gift card will be into the 'dress'.

  There you go, now you have a customized gift holder that will be treasured.

Flowerpot 2 - gift

Last night, when my husband saw the two flowerpot cards I had made, he made a very good suggestion. He asked me to add a note pad in one of them. The possibilities are endless, but I decided to use two small sticky note pads to make it more delicate. Here is the card that became a little gift.

The flowers were cut in my Sizzix Big Kick. The die is from Sizzix as well.

 Now you have a small gift instead of a card, or a card-gift. You can use one bigger note pad instead of two small. You can also glue a strip of magnet in the back and place your note pad on the refrigerator door.
Are you going to make an Easter basket for a girl? How about putting one like this in it? You can also use it as a party favor for a spring birthday party. Like I said, the possibilities are endless. Have fun making it.

Flowerpot

One of my cousins suggested that I made a flowerpot card. So, Alessandra, here it is. I hope you like it.

 

 Paper: double sided polka-dots and pink, and white cardstock.
Tools: Flowerpot template, craft knife, dot runner adhesive, glue pen and a paper creaser.
Accessories: ribbon, flower stickers, gemstones

This time I didn't write any message or sentiment inside the card. It can be used for Easter, a birthday, a new home, a bride shower...

Another idea for the flowers it to die-cut your own and use buttons for the middle.

  I enjoyed making this card so much that I already made a second one with different pattern and flowers.  Have fun making one too... or more.

New life

Isn't it amazing how winter makes everything look dead? Even our energy level is lower in the winter. But when we see the first signs of spring, we feel alive again. Spring brings new life. That's what Jesus did. He died to pay a debt that we couldn't pay, but He defeated death and, because of that, He has the power to give us a new life. Eternal life that is. Our bodies can decay and die, but our souls will be saved if we put our trust in the Son of God. Have you done that yet? Have you tried to receive the new life that only Jesus can give? I hope so. If you did, we'll be in heaven together some day. If you didn't, don't wait any longer. There is no sin that God can't forgive. There is no sinner that He won't love. If you would like to know more about receiving a new life in Jesus, leave a comment and I'll reply. In the meantime enjoy this Easter Card that shows life brought by "spring".

Non-traditional

The other day, while my son was playing at Chick-fil-A  playground, I sat there just watching people coming and going. How interesting and different we human beings are. Then again it couldn't be any other way because God is so creative and imaginative.  So I made a sketch of this card, which is different from the 'traditional' Easter cards.  Let me know what your thoughts about it are.
