Hi there everyone, how are you all doing? Enjoying spring? (or fall, depending on which hemisphere you are). After having fun participating at Lawn Fawn 1st challenge of 2017, I decided to enter another one. Unfortunately I missed challenge #2, but I made this Graduation card for challenge #3, which is "outstanding occasions" like Anniversaries, Graduations, new baby, etc.

Tools: Cutting/embossing machine, stars die (Lawn Fawn)
Paper: White and navy (embossed) cardstock, silver glitter cardstock
Stamp: "Reach for the Stars" (Lawn Fawn)
Embellishments: handmade diploma.
I hope you enjoy this card. Leave a comment telling me what you think. You can also leave a comment on Instagram or on my Facebook page.

Handmade Cards, Envelopes, and Box

Hi there,
How are you doing? I hope you are all doing great. Here we are getting ready for summer, and for a missions trip we'll be taking in the beginning of September. In order to raise funds for our trip, I'm making sets of cards in a box and selling them. Today I want to post for you one of the sets I made. I'm also going to post the links for the boxes, so you can make them too, ok?

Supplies needed for the cards
Paper: White, pastel pink, blue, yellow, and green cardstock for cards. Pastel pink, green, blue and yellow 24lb paper for envelopes.
Tools: Cutting/ embossing machine, embossing folders, heat gun, white embossing powder, envelope punch
Stamps: Happy Birthday, Get Well, Congratulations
Ink: Versamark
Embellishments: Decorative self-adhesive strips, butterfly sticker

Gifts or gift cards? (Last part)

Hi. To finish my series of posts on gift cards, I'd like to say that there are other reasons why to give them instead of gifts. Distance is one of them. A couple getting married and moving away, a high-school graduate going to a distant college, and serving in the army are just some examples of that. So here is another idea for a gift card holder.

Supplies Used
Paper: Light purple cardstock, polka-dots scrapbook paper
Tools: Embossing/ cutting machine, score board, extra-large and large oval dies (for handle), large scallop circle die.
Stamp: To, from
Embellishments: lavender pearl

Please remember that you can transform your handmade greeting cards into gift card holders too. Just use your imagination, and the technique in the video I posted the link to on my first post entitled 'gift or gift cards? (part 1)
Remember you can always make a greeting card/gift card holder in one, like I transformed the card I posted on Thursday, July 11, 2013 into a gift card holder (see picture below) to give to a bride who is going to live in another state after married.

In this case I just created a pocket inside the card, and crocheted a board using the same stitch used in the dress.
Thank you for checking out my ideas. I hope they are useful to you.
God bless you, and happy crafting,

Music Graduation Card

Time seems to be going by so much faster than when I was a child. It's like yesterday we were opening Christmas gifts, and now we are in May already. Mothers Day has passed, and we are heading to all the graduations we attend at this time of the year. So here is an idea for a graduation card. This one is for someone who's graduating from music school, but you can always change the label.
Supplies needed
Paper: black and white cardstock
Tools: Cutting/embossing machine, music notes embossing folder, large oval punch
Embellishments: red ribbon, cap sticker, "music"label
Don't forget to add a detail inside.
Thank you for stopping by. God bless you,

Little Red Dress

I have been working on crochet orders and haven't had much time to make cards. Yet today I decided to relax a bit - making cards relaxes me - and do something new. So here is a card that can be used for several different occasions. Enjoy.

Card 'recipe'
First I cut a scalloped circle out of a glittered cardstock paper.
Then I turned the circle, measured, marked and cut like the picture below.
Next I punched a heart from one of the two pieces that I cut out of the circle.

And trimmed the sides as shown to make the top of the dress. Glue the end to the back of the skirt.

The other piece left from the circle was used to make the layers on the skirt. Then I used a black ribbon around the waist.
Now all I had to do was to create the card using my red little dress. Here is another picture of the card.
Supplies
Paper: Solid red glitter, white, black, red (Paper Studios)
Tools: Cutting/embossing machine (Sizzix), embossing plate (Twirls by Paper Studios), heart puncher (Recollections), 4" Scalloped Circle die, 1 3/4" oval die (Spellbinders)
Stamp: For Someone 'Special'
Ink: Black fine point marker for stamps (Recollections)
Embellishments: Transparent black ribbon, glittered asterisks

You can make a 'little black dress', a wedding gown... the possibilities are endless.

Thank you for stopping by. May God bless you and yours.

Music

We need to try to make our cards as personal as possible, because that tells the person we made the card for how special they are.
This card,  for instance, is for someone graduating from a music school. I'm going to add the name of the person below the word 'bravo'. Enjoy.

Card 'Recipe'
Paper: Black cardstock, vintage music, and dark beige paper (Paper Studio)
Embellishments: Graduation 3D stickers.

Thank you for visiting my blog.
Many blessings to you.

Graffiti Graduation

Sometimes I get so "stuck in my style" and I forget that people have different taste. So I decided to make a card that "is not me". It was interesting though, when I finished it, I liked it.

Supplies used:
Paper: Off white, beige, and white cardstock.
Tools: Cutting/ embossing machine, Brick wall embossing folder, computer, printer, coloring pencils (red brown) and pens (black).
Embellishments: Door die-cut, brown pearl (for door knob), yellow tissue paper (for curtain), 'Congrats' and cap handmade stickers (the cap was sprayed on the wall).

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderfully blessed weekend.

Graduation ll

Making cards has been a wonderful way for me to relax and put my brain to work. I made this card yesterday, when I had to stop and take a deep breath because I was feeling overwhelmed by all the things I had to do. When my husband saw it, he said, "Wow baby doll, I really like this one!" So it was in the midst of anxiety and the need to have a break that I found inspiration to create.

 Supplies used:
Paper: maroon and dark beige
Stamp: "Congrats Grad" (Stampabilities)
Tools: Cutting/ embossing machine (Sizzix), embossing folder (Darice)
Embellishments: diploma and book stickers

I hope you like this one as much as my husband did.
Thank you for stopping by. Happy Graduation!
